Burn is the first studio of its kind in the Bay Area. We've taken the best of pilates, resistance, and cardio training to provide you with a total body 55 minute workout. This combination of exercises burns calories, increases metabolism, and creates strong, long, lean fit bodies. We limit the class to 14 participants so that each person gets individual attention, assistance and any needed modifications. Each class provides a variety of techniques and equipment to challenge your body in a safe, challenging way. Each class provides a circuit of exercises to keep you challenged, motivated, and engaged. You will not get bored. As you fatigue from one series of exercises, we’ll move on to the next set with a different technique. This is an active approach that maximizes calorie burn, minimizes boredom, and challenges your body in a unique way. By changing up the routine, the workout stays fresh, and your body continues to be challenged in a variety of ways.
Owner of Burn studios and creator of the Burn workout, Lisa Corsello, is an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, certified pilates instructor, certified yoga instructor, nutrition consultant and group fitness instructor who works with clients to create customized, goal-oriented exercise and nutrition plans. Her programs emphasize constant movement using circuits to challenge and improve endurance, agility, balance and strength, with appropriate focus on stressing proper form and method. Each workout incorporates dynamic strength and cardiovascular training with active recovery techniques targeting all major muscle groups. Sessions are intended to be learning experiences that constantly evolve, keeping each one challenging and fresh. She has successfully adapted and applied her methods to clients with a wide range of abilities and capabilities; absolute beginners needing basic knowledge, enthusiasts who want to increase lean body mass and reduce body fat, people recovering from sports injuries or serious illness, and professional athletes in training.
